A flashing lane-keep symbol usually means the system has switched itself off for now, not that it is broken. Common causes are a camera that cannot see clear lane lines, faded road markings, bad weather, or a speed below the system threshold. Once the road and conditions improve, it normally comes back on by itself.
A blocked-sensor message points to something physically in front of the camera or radar. Snow, ice, road salt, mud, heavy rain, a bumper sticker, or even a dealer plate frame can trigger it. Clean the grille badge, the windshield in front of the mirror, and the bumper faces, then drive again before assuming a fault.
In most modern cars, yes. The forward camera usually sits on the windshield, so replacing the glass moves it enough to need recalibration. Skipping it can leave lane-keep and automatic braking aiming at the wrong part of the road. A reputable glass shop will either calibrate it or send you somewhere that can.
Often yes for a short time, but with an important caveat: the assistance feature itself is probably not working, so do not rely on it. Treat the car as if it has no lane-keep or auto-braking until the light is cleared. If the warning comes with a braking or steering fault, get it checked promptly.
Some warnings clear on their own once you fix the cause and complete a normal drive. Others need a scan tool to clear stored codes, and a few require a proper recalibration that only a shop can do.
